NAGOYA—The heart of Japan's automotive industry welcomed New York based Divine Performing Arts' Chinese Spectacular to an enthusiastic crowd at Nagoya's Meitetsu Hall on the evening of February 17.

We spoke with a Japanese civil servant, Osamu Sigeta during the intermission, he said, "I enjoyed this show very much. It was my first time watching it. I like China very much."

He continued, "The whole performance is excellent. But in particular I admire the gracefulness of the performers. Their soft arms and bodies make the dance gentle and brisk, specifically their feet move with the rhythm of the music."

"Their facial expressions coalesced with their movements make it such a unique show. It is so great, beyond comparison," he said, "I paid special attention to the movements of their hands in their dances and how they portray the characters by their gestures and body movement."

Osamu recalled, "The two songs in the first half of the show are sung very well. It impressed me to the point of tears and I tried hard to hold them back."

"The lyrics on the screen in Japanese make me fully understand the content of the songs and know more about the 5,000-year profound Chinese history and culture," he said, also remarking that he found the strength in the performance 'Drummers of the Tang Court' to be unforgettable.

"Last year I visited Guilin City in Guangxi Province, China and have seen China's acrobatics. I like China, despite their ways of doing business," Osamu remarked that he was already planning to see next year's show.
