New York, January 5, 2008 - New Tang Dynasty TV (NTDTV) and its producing partner Divine Performing Arts are proud to present NTDTV CHINESE NEW YEAR SPLENDOR at the majestic Radio City Music Hall beginning January 30 through February 9, 2008.
NTDTV CHINESE NEW YEAR SPLENDOR is the largest and most breathtaking celebration of the Chinese New Year in the world. Inspired by over 5,000 years of history and tradition, NTDTV Chinese New Year Splendor is considered a truly authentic Chinese cultural observance. Creating a visually stunning experience on stage, the Splendor will feature brilliant dances, songs, and symphony.
Peijong Hsieh, the show’s Production Manager, said: “The show is sophisticated and spectacular yet simple and clean. Our goal is to express pure grandeur and beauty in ways ancient and new.”
China’s cultural renaissance isn’t happening in Mainland China – it’s happening in performance halls around the world. Divine Performing Arts sends two companies on the road for a non-stop touring schedule encompassing 120 shows in 60 cities worldwide. The annual cultural show has been meticulously built around a common goal: to breathe new life into China’s lost cultural wonders. The two groups re-unite in New York for the culminating performance at Radio City Music Hall, making the New York Splendor the grandest celebration in the entire tour, featuring over 200 operatic vocalists, dancers, performers and a live orchestra.
A time of reflection and renewal, the Chinese New Year is the most important holiday of the year. Shared by virtually every Asian country, it is an opportunity to reflect on one’s own heritage and look ahead towards the future.
